I indeed, am definitely tempted to give you an Amen on this point. I think that there are many researchers all looking to pinpoint some sort of critical tipping point in some area or another, that they believe will quickly cascade throughout the world. A financial meltdown. Some sort of planetary disaster. These are the main areas of concern, I suppose.

But to be realistic I think we just have to concede that all we really have are various theories that have been developed by people and put forward. Some are more realistic and credible than others to be sure, but I have never seen anybody thus far point towards a specific date and say: This is the "day of disaster" with anything solid to back up their assertion.

We can predict trends, and quite intelligently assess a system, and know that it is unstable and will fail e.g the global financial system. But just exactly when catastrophic failure occurs...that is not really possible to say.

Free will is the most important factor in all of this though, in my opinion.

And yet, whatever does happen, for each of us as individuals, I think it is most critical that when that thief in the night strikes, we should each have our accounts favourably in order, and thus be ready to go.
