Dear (D)ammit;
First thing, ask yourself,
"What is it they're afraid they lack?"
or...
"What is it they're afraid they don't control?"
Then forgive them for it, and go on about your day.
On the upside,
You leave them an "out" to move passed it themselves.
At least it moves you passed the place where you're "stuck" just reacting to their end.
Worst case?
They'll all decide not to grow out of it, gang up on you and get you fired. While this might not meet your current financial needs, it will leave you in a place which simply no longer supports such antics in "your field of influence".
Of course it's scary, but also liberating.
"Seems the dementia clients are more human then the staff"
Of course they are. They have "nothing to lose" in most transactions, so they have a smaller urge to "strike first in self-defense".
By the way,
Hell No, I am no expert at this either. If I were I wouldn't need to remind myself about it by typing this, either.
Good luck, we can both use it
Fred
