An acquaintance of mine (that I met at an expansions conference in early '08) died last Friday from H1N1 "treatment"/pneumonia.

I rec'd a short email from his best friend, apparently he'd gone to the hospital last week because he was sick, was diagnosed w/H1N1 and treated for it and died quickly as a result, died Friday! His friend stated to me that he, in fact, had pneumonia.

I don't know what he was treated with but I have heard that only two labs (Canada & Georgia) can confirm via blood if one does have H1N1, so being diagnosed was a sujective evaluation by a doctor in this case.

I apologize if I've posted this in the wrong thread, I don't have a link to post. But I met this person and he was 52, healthy & very intelligent. Very puzzling case to me, this, tragic!~
