I'm not a musician, but I was a professional booking agent for musicians most of the last 20 years. Got my start working in the concert industry and for radio stations, I've booked more bans and listened to more demo tapes than you can dream of. Here's an honest, professional opinion...
His vocal tone and pitch could use some work with, the right coach can do wonders with people and he has some potential he's not using. The music and lyrics are good, definitely targeted towards inspirational and new age listeners.
The most impressive thing is that David is living out his dream, you can hear his conviction and spirit in the music - which is what counts. DW has a captive audience for his music that he can reach thru his teachings and another way to hear his message is thru the experience of music. It's cool that he's been able to merge two passions.
Music is a very subjective thing, we each hear something different in the same song and what one person may think sounds like the voice of an angel, another may wince at...if you love the music and are inspired by it, that's what counts! I don't know how many times I've listened to music just cringing it sounded so bad

then looked around the room to see people rocking out
To each his own
or the drunker you get the better it sounds!!
