Thank-you for this thread and for all of your posts Seashore. What makes this subject interesting is all of the priniciples and concepts...implications and ramifications...connected with the Constitution and Bill of Rights. The documents are really quite short and uninteresting. But this is exactly what is required to get the job done. When the documents are followed...things work extremely well. I really think there is a spiritual component to the Constitution and Bill of Rights. This may sound crazy...but I would be interested to see what a church based on the Constitution and Bill of Rights would look like. Obviously...it would probably not be tax-exempt...which might be just as well. The IRS should not be able to tell preachers what to say, and what not to say from the pulpit. Current events would be discussed in the classes...and during sermons. Just a thought.
