Yes--I have a VERY fashion-conscious teen son, and shop with him a lot. They are on everything, along with knives, guns, blood and other violent symbols. He refuses to buy or wear anything with a skull on it, considering it to be 'gang' related. But there are other points of view on merely skeletons and the skull: The Hispanic culture has a definitely non-negative 'handle' on skulls and skeletons, considering them to be symbols of good luck. But there is a tremondous amount of 'desensitizing' violent themes applied to all areas of the American culture which you are right to loathe and avoid, imo.
