Our hero and heroine evade their pursuers and make there way via the Metro train to upper Northwest DC's Tenleytown Station..carrying the heavy bag containing the coveted masonic treasures inside!

Close by....they reach the grounds of the Washington National Cathedral..
moving past the now darkened beautiful gardens that surrounds the Shadow House gazebo.

Now evening time~ the cathedral is almost deserted~ there Professor Langdon and Katherine Solomon hope to find a temporary sanctuary and some answers?

Just inside the great doors~ leading to the long nave's central aisle of the church~ the Reverend Colin Galloway~dean of the cathedral~ who looks like he had been alive forever...nearly blind now.....awaits for them within.

As they seek privacy in the deans small office.....
Professor Langdon removes the treasures
he has been carrying in the bag for the old dean to examine.

Remember the box containing the masonic treasured pyramid?

As the old priest lifts the lid..... he examines the inside of the box...
he finds a barely noticeable > small dot within a circle....

As if seeing with one's fingertips...
the old blind priest recognized the symbol?

a circumpunct!

He asked Professor Lanngdon to...
insert Peter Solomon's masonic 33rd degree ring....
into the circumpunct.....

all is revealed at the thirty third degree!

A box that is transformed into a cross?

Symbolic alchemy?
