Sounds like something from a Doctor Who episode. The Doctor needs to shut the reactor down but can't because he is being held up. He has a piece of bread and sees a bird in the window. The bird comes in the window as The Doctor temps it with a piece of the bread. He then throws the piece of bread into the hallway, the bird grabs it, flies into the belly of the LHC, starts to eat t, and a crumb then falls into the innerworkings of the LHC, causing it to malfunction. Cue sparks and explosions.
