Default Re: The secret life of plants

I was recently told of a quicker way of dowsing for a 'yes/no', rather than scrabbling about in ones handbag for a pendulum...

You place the tips of thumb and a finger together, {personally I find my middle finger works vets?}
think your 'question', and if your fingers 'stick together', that's a Positive, if they want to slide apart, that's 'negative'.

... What is this doing on the 'Plants' thread??

I discovered that you can find out if your house-plants need / want water by asking them - as I went around the house with my watering bottle, I touched a leaf, and asked if that plant wanted any water or not?

Instant results!

Some pots seemed quite dry and light, yet the plant said "No water today thanks" - of course, some plants need a 'dry season' at this time of year.
{And I can never mind which ones... so if they 'tell' me, we should do ok!}

So, as well as dowsing to ask if plants are happy with the type of water, which fertiliser they prefer, if they are happy enough in that particular spot and if they 'get on with' their neighbours, ask if they want water at that time?

One poorly fellow also has his own little piece of Orgonite in his pot and he's doing a lot better now

http://www.lunarorganics.com/ Sure I posted this link before, but here it is again- Lunar Gardening - lovely colourful wallchart for the year - tells you when best to plant, fertilise, harvest etc.

Ideal xmas pressie... IF you follow that tradition?

Another useful use of the 'finger dowsing' - you can discern 'truth' or 'lie' surreptitiously, when listening to someone being interviewed on the radio / TV / phone
