These days, I do not suffer those attacks (although I CAN still sense them "sniffing" for me)

They are not leaving anybody alone just like that. They are sniffing so to say to see do you really trust Jesus or that was just a pass through stage in your life...If they see that is was a pass through stage they will come again in bigger presence...

remember what Jesus said about "cleaned house" and demons returning and bringing other demons even worse that they are...

But if you really trust Jesus they will leave you alone, but watch therefore always,since they are like hyenas always preying ...

But be not afraid! Because the one who is helping you is far greater!
