I spent 8 years heavily involved on debate boards (mostly parenting and political), so I understand your frustration. It doesn't feel good to be harshly rejected and criticized.
After many years of bantering back with my own attacks, I tried something entirely novel.

I started responding to personal attacks with love and understanding.
And this is when I really became effective.
Ultimately, I decided that my desire to reach people was more important than my desire to retaliate...and the insults began rolling off my back without much effort.
I posted for the
lurkers. I was never going to change the minds of my opposition. That was never the point. I needed the opposition to supply the counterpoints so I could address them publicly.
So, I hope you won't give up on this. There are people who will consider your views if you present them in a loving and logical way. Do it for the lurkers.
