I desire a higher standard of ethics than that which is found in the Bible. The Bible should be studied for historical value...and for clues regarding life and theology...but all 66 Books should not be the standard of faith and practice in modernity. This creates a huge mess...especially when one adds all of the supposedly inspired and even infallible interpretations of these 66 Books. The principles and concepts derived from the words of Christ should be sufficient. Isn't this essentially Responsible Freedom?
