Yeah Vidya, im not havin a go at Mel either, frankly i want him to be
more successful,
more impactful and reach
MORE people because i want there to be more conscious humans. it just so happens that i know better business models, but often we humans (still part monkey) often times deny what we really want (happiness, success, peace, etc.) in favor of what we think we want (to be master of our domain).
I for one would love to play the role the universe has for me since it involves my supreme joy and unity. still my monkey mind fuchks that up cause EGO is a horrible master, but an AMAZING tool. And like others, I often times miss the cue's from Universe when they are not packaged as i want them to be and have missed great opportunities thinking i am better than the opportunity being presented to me. alas..... if i could just master this thing called sublimation of the will...
funny aside...i opened lifes little instruction manual today randomly to a page that said,
"The True Leader of a true cause is the unacknowledged servant of mankind.
Stationary in the background, this individual is doing the work that nobody else can or will do. An erratic career is like the comet's course, dashing through space, headlong and alone." Anonymous -1883
this hit hard because i have not been living the true life...according to this quote...i have been erratic and seeking recognition.
I suppose i have been an arrogant and blusterous in my time, and I often seek to be recognized for my gifts, abilities and skills as a leader...at least thats what my wonderful wife reminds me of at times that i get longwinded. I really am thankful for her.
my growing edge right now is finding that meaningful work that engages my full faculties and puts all my god given talents to work to making more joy, truth, and passion in the world. My growing edge is finding that work AND having it fulfill my need for recognition. I DO enjoy being special, however i DO NOT enjoy being special at the expense of others. I DO enjoy living a blessed life, but again not at the expense of others. I seek to always provide as much value to the community, the world, my family, etc, as i receive.
I am grateful for my sensory gifts and acuity. However, I have been judgmental, cold, and critical. I declare my correctness with authority and without apology too often. ultimately though i know my weaknesses and lay them bare before the world without fear. I am the sternest judge i shall ever face as i have found out nearly passing over.
anyway
I am also not a fan of negativity. Unfortunately im a bit of a martyr and often get the negative perspective of people when they look at me. just the nature of my medicine. im ok with that though. have to be i suppose...
It helps me see who they really are behind the facade of pleasant social contract bull. you never really know a person till you mess with them a bit. Kerry and i had a convo bout that and it's definitely an effective tactic for determining a persons true character. however it doesn't exactly win you brownie points with "gentle-people," or people who believe politeness is key.
f-ck polite. Be the light. and if one dont get you the other, just do whats right.
feel me?

I think it was me who first raised the word attorney (lawyer) - i would point out Mel never threatened me for my post, nor was he at all 'off' with me, he simply wanted to remove the upload to you tube and was going to ask his attorney to do that. Hey thats what attorneys do. I dont like them, but thats me.
I didnt want to have a go at Mel here, far from it. I wanted to say that I dont 'subscribe' to his world business view, but I respect his decision to do what he wants, he is ultimately responsible for his own actions as we all are.
Isnt there a term 'loss leader'? My guess is that posting this interview with Cliff for free would see many people listen to a very good show and maybe some of those would sign up for other shows. There are so many cliff interviews out there for free, people will be saturated and I guess not too fussed to losten to veritas? i dont know.
Mel obviously puts a lot of effort onto what he does, i did check out his facebook profile, its full of good links etc. Its ok (necessary even, depending on other financial incomes) to receive payment for this. I saw one you tube site, cant remember which, but a lot (not all) stuff was free with a very good 'contribute' section inviting donations. I guess this works for that site. Seems a good idea to me.
Cliff charges $10 for his reports, I read one for free on a pirate site and then bought the real thing (a duplicate)...i was put on an open mailing list with the thousands of other people who bought his last but one report, thats a lot of $10, i would guess he does ok financially. His radio interviews I guess he does for free, but they are 'advertising' on some level, and the mechanism obviously works for him. (I wont buy the latest report, I want out of here without worry about impending disaster scenarios)
Good luck with veritas Mel.
