If you look at the history of how many presidents have tried to improve on health care... the road has been long and unfruitful. I think there are many countries ahead of the US on health care. Everyone deserves the right to basic health care. People should not have to go into poverty because they can't get health coverage.
We want everyone to become educated, and so we all agree that education through the 12th grade is free. Education is what lifts people out of poverty.
Health care should be the same. We should all care enough about our neighbors... to want everyone to be getting basic health care. Because the sad part is, when we don't take care of people, and their income gets low enough, we end up paying for their health care through welfare anyway.
Our health insurance companies are ripping us off. We need to get rid of insurance companies for health care.
Obama has my support on his proposed health care changes. He's not a puppet if he's leading the effort to get health reform. Who else is leading the effort?
