The Gods of Eden by William Brantley is excellent as you say. It is available on line in pdf file for free but I can't remember exactly where I got it. Perhaps on the Squib website but it may have been through google search. Anyway, if anyone wants me to send a pdf copy to them via e-mail I would be happy to do so.
