UPDATE
The Amroc - SpaceDev Connection

AMROC (American Rocket) became important to our research because they were about to manufacture a new Cargo Transport rocket launch system called the AQUILLA... why this is important will be dealt with later in a new thread because of where it leads... and will shock many people...

What is important here is the connection to our story and the key players in this arena. The AQUILLA is part of the 'hidden' space program and as such will be harder to track (but not impossible )

So for now remember the name... we will come back to it soon...

Launch of Aquila-Amroc test vehicle

"The NSS mourns the death of a valued and visionary member of the Board of Directors, George A. Koopman, president and co-founder of the American Rocket Company. Mr. Koopman died Wednesday of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was forty-four years old.

AMROC officials affirmed that preparations for the company's first space launch, scheduled for August 14, 1989, will continue as planned. James Bennett, AMROC's vp for External Affairs, said "This represents an enormous loss to AMROC. Koopman was a true space pioneer, not only by virtue of his key role in founding and sustaining AMROC, but also his long support of and participation in organizations such as the National Space Society. The
realization of George Koopman's dream of creating affordable access to space will be his memorial."

Koopman's family has requested that in lieu of flowers, contributions to one of several charitable organizations be made. NSS has been selected and will set up a trust fund in his name to continue the visionary goals he pioneered. Contributions will be excepted by the NSS to the George A. Koopman Memorial Fund.

This has been the National Space Society's Space Hotline updated SpaceDay, July 20th, 1989."

The Proof Of The Pudding: SET-1

"The date for the first launch of Amroc's test vehicle, the Single Engine Test-1 (SET-1) slipped from July to August, 1989. In July, traveling to the test site, George Koopman was involved in a single-car accident along an isolated stretch of highway and was killed. He was 44 years old. The launch of SET-1 was scheduled for weeks hence on August 14.

In the words of friend, and Amroc partner and VP of External Affairs James Bennett, This represents an enormous loss to AMROC. Koopman as a true space pioneer, not only by virtue of his key role in founding and sustaining AMROC, but also his long support of and participation in organizations such as the National Space Society. The realization of George Koopman's dream of creating affordable access to space will be his memorial."

"George Koopman, one of the cofounders of the American Rocket Co., and the president and chief executive officer of Amroc since its creation, died July 19, 1989, of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was 44. Mr. Koopman was an example of one of those people who have literally built America - the entrepreneur. It was Mr. Koopman's dream, and the dream of his fellow American Rocket Co. cofounders and financial backers, to found a company that would create affordable access to space.

---snip---

In August 1998 SpaceDev, the world's first commercial space exploration company, acquired exclusive rights to intellectual property including the three patents originally issued to American Rocket Company (Amroc) for their hybrid rocket motor technology. In addition, SpaceDev acquired exclusive possession of and access to a large quantity of Amroc engineering documents, plans, designs, test results, manufacturing data, and other materials related to the rocket motors and Amroc launch vehicles." - SOURCE: Global Security.org

So what we have here is an unexplained explosion killing people from SpaceShip One, an unexplained disappearance of Steve Fossett from Flying M Ranch who was about to be Virgin Galactic's pilot and the death of the manufacturer of the Aquila Cargo ship... with the company being taken over by SpaceDev....

Anyone notice a pattern? And John Lear mixed right up in the middle of it all...

Now just WAIT till I show you who REALLY is building the AQUILA Cargo Transport
