You wanna know where is the outrage? The outrage in happening in the part of the country that feels the most powerless, has just enough money to get to next month. The PTW have very carefully made sure not to tip the boat on the middle class who still feels life is fine. It truly is like the example of how to cook a frog without them reacting. By the time the waters hot enough, the frog can't do anything and it dies. Just heat it up a little at a time and watch it die.
Until the miopic selfish middle and upper middle class feels the iron fist in the velvet glove they won't care. They have their jobs, houses, education, health care etc. and they are enjoying their life.
In Germany they first came for the Communists,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist.
Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew.
Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Catholics,
and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant.
Then they came for me —
and by that time no one was left to speak up.
