Re: Responsible Freedom
The point I'm trying to make is what are 'they' saying we have to do to be responsible? I've heard the term 'responsible freedom' kicked around the media. But does it mean having civil rights or freedom until you criticize the government? Does it mean having the freedom to expression unless you create something that pushes boundaries too much? Does it mean not over stepping the bounds of what is acceptable? Where would Science, Art, Literature, Sports, Music and everything else be if we didnt have people who did that? You make a good point - follow the Golden Rule = Responsible Freedom. I guess that means do unto others as you would have them do to you. But when it comes to pushing the envelope a little to create something new, or ask new questions, then I'm all for it. Where's the harm unto others in that?
