I have read much of the documentation about the 4-season greenhouse and it seems very appealing in the context of creating a self-sufficient radiant zone community in the Laurentian area.

It has useful information. The cost can be reduced quite a bit if we build it ourselves. The plastic covering is only about $5-6 per sq. feet. A heat resevoir in the ground can keep the plants warm enough during night. There is a lot of information to built geodesic domes, and it is possible to build them stronger then shown in these kits (up to 200 mph resistance for the frame). Another possible alternative is to disassemble them before the winds come.
