The funny thing about the actual origins of Thule peoples - in a super article today, "Vikings in Nunavut?"

Sutherland's theory is that Norse sailors continued to travel between Greenland and Arctic Canada for generations after the failed colonization bid in Newfoundland. She believes they encountered and possibly traded with the Dorset, ancient aboriginals who were later overrun — probably before 1400 A.D. — by the eastward-migrating Thule ancestors of modern Inuit.

Nunavut, Canada

Maybe Nazi mysticism got its Norse myths & geopolitics kind of wrong. What a bunch of f**kheads, anyway.

Thule No. 1:
A primary focus of Thule-Gesellschaft [The Thule Society] was a claim concerning the origins of the Aryan race. "Thule" ((Greek): Θούλη) was a land located by Greco-Roman geographers in the furthest north.[7] The term "Ultima Thule" ((Latin): most distant Thule) is also mentioned by the Roman poet Virgil in his epic poem Aeneid. This was supposed to be the far northern segment of Thule and is now generally understood to mean Scandinavia.

Thule No. 2:
The Thule are the prehistoric ancestors of the Inuit who now live in northern Labrador. (The name comes from a small community in northwestern Greenland where the culture was first classified.) Thule culture appears to have grown out of an exchange of ideas, and perhaps peoples, from the Bering Sea and the north coast of Alaska just before about 1000 years ago.
