burgundia - I did wonder about the race as a metaphor, too, even though this horse is a bay, so I guess he could be a 'dark horse' (but not black like a Friesian). Anyway, I'm always on the lookout for spirit horses. I DO like this fellow - he has a nice head. It's a surprise! A big upset!
