I wasn't sure how to start a thread so I'm just going to put this here seeing as it may have some relevance...

In regards to the whole Swine flu outbreak I recall within the past few weeks I read somewhere that Merck... ( ooops I mean Baxter but this story and current events still reeks )... 'accidentally' sent live avian flu virus to 18 different countries... Can't find the article now but I'm sure some of you will remember seeing it also... SO... after reading this article ( http://www.reuters.com/article/marke...45216420090424 ) about the company that will be reaping the rewards (Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers) who manage BioCryst Pharmaceuticals. I decided to do a little research on whether BioCryst Pharmaceuticals had any ties to Merck and much to my surprise (or lack of at this point)... The now President, Chief Executive Officer of BioCryst Pharmaceuticals, Jon P. Stonehouse most recently served as Senior Vice president of Corporate Development for Merck... It is Stanley C. Erck who is on the Board of Directors that has ties to Baxter Int'l.

Does this smell BAD to you???
