Maybe it means you are keenly aware (vibrant color) of the threats we're all facing (the insects) to your way of life (you were in the yard where you were raised). The swallows were on your side. They warned you and then they assisted you. The single remaining sparrow is a special person that you can count on. Or perhaps it's you counting on yourself. You have an underlying belief that you are going to see better days. Maybe the old bike represents continuity of the good things in life.
