How about a wind turbine
http://www.conservinggreen.com/enflo...ndturbine.aspx and solar panel
http://www.nextag.com/cost-of-solar-panel/stores-html on the roof of every building...and electric cars in every garage? If that wasn't enough, how about an exercycle connected to a generator?
http://www.tradeeasy.com/supplier/34...r-station.html What's so hard about that? Why am I not doing this? That's a very good question. I can't afford to make the transition right now...but I will research and plan...and implement some of the above as soon as possible. Solar/Exercycle/Generator would probably work the best where I live.

I'm thinking I could get off the grid(or mostly off the grid) for about $5,000-$7,000. I don't have to drive far or often...so I could use a low-tech small car electric power conversion. This might be another $5,000-$7,000. These are just estimates. Then I would have to pay $0(or very little) to power my home and car...with NO pollution.
