Hi eXchanger,
To some degree you're right. It's not that you've stopped searching it's that you get noticed more when you are in a situation where you're not actively searching.
In my experience, all of my girlfriends during my life were met through a mutual friend, family member or other third person.
If you reflect back, you will notice, I'm sure, that most people meet like that; through third persons. So when you go out with your mates and they bring along some ot their friends that you don't know, could reap results, as long as you are acting in a natural social manner.
I think the old 'one liners' have gone by the wayside these days. When you are in a social situation, you may be seen as you really, honestly are, where you're not under any pressure to be funny, or intellectual, or extra charming etc. Your true personality will show and there will be an admirer out there, using the social crutch of your mutual friends to close in on you.
Best regards,
Steve
