I suppose your not comfortable with sharing with us the info that was provided, that you requested, or the exact dialogue that took place?

I think the importance of the information your searching for is really what will determine your actions. If it is something you feel comfortable leaving go, then do so. If it is something that could alter things for the better on a larger scale, I would say the risk may be worth it. In situations like this I always have felt that they can control and threaten one person, but it's much more difficult to do that to a large number of people.
