The beauty of a forum is you can read what you want. Take what you want from it. Speak to whom ever you choose and ignore the rest/pest.
I recommend you ignore the 'rest' Barry.
You disclose whatever you feel you can and want to because there are those who are always watching and ready to receive your info.
You do not need to disclose personal details just to appease people. I dont see your interrogators posting their own wage slips on here but are happy to display that of others!
If they do not believe you, they should move on.
