Thank you Brook. Sometimes I have flashes of inspiration and put pen to paper. Other times I can chew a pencil until there's nothing left of it and still nothing comes. I think it must be spirit guides assisting me because once it starts, there seems to be no effort on my part and I have to keep going until it stops.

I find the same thing when I write stories - the characters that I create take over and control the story as it goes in directions I'd never contemplated.
