The problem is that when we mention the Earth population, we need to include everyone, warts and all. If the population of the Earth can't even agree amongst itself, how on Earth (excuse the pun) will it deal with a population from another world?

I also don't agree that we have the potential to cast aside our arrogance, as a whole, as there will ALWAYS be someone who thinks they are more important and deserves more than the next as long as we live and breath. Unfortunately it's human nature.

This, of course, brings us to the subject of the 'chosen few'.... Does just that sound arrogant?

Best regards,

Steve
That is NOT human nature. That is a result of cultural upbringing. People (well, Americans at least) are taught from a young age that they must have money, a house and a wife with 2.5 kids. Their arrogance is a result of cultural brainwashing. Human nature has nothing to do with it. From peasants to kings, people pursue wealth and power because they are taught that it is their salvation, their only way out of the cesspool.

We need to UNDO this system of cultural brainwashing and teach our future generations that wealth and greed are WORTHLESS because there IS more to life than what we currently understand.

Also, the technology to contact them has been suppressed for so long that we don't even know if they want us around or not. Our governments know and they use that information against us and them. We cannot receive their signals. Their existence is hidden from us. How do we know then?

I respectively disagree on the human nature part and I can see where you are coming from.
