To paraphrase Tom Hanks' character in "Cast Away"...at the end of the film he says something to this effect:
'Each new sun rise offers us an opportunity to see what the tide will bring in.'

I'll look on December 22, 2012 as that new sunrise...just as I do each new day. That (to me) is the wonder of life.
