Default Re: Astonishing! 1 million children go missing every year in US and the UK!

well don't be quite so alarmed, the number is way higher than reality, remember my background is in missing children cases.

right now there are a quarter of a million child sex slaves throughout the world, in poor countries parents actually sell their children into the trade so no reports are made.

First world countries have cracked down hard on pedoviles, and missing children cases have dropped to less than a third in only 6 years.

Most are families that are separated the parent takes a child to spend time with them, and afterward the child is returned safely.

When was the last time you saw an Amber alert?

That should give you an idea of how much better the world is today...

I've been asked by one of my favorite members of this forum to edit my post, I'm not sure of this is the first time some of you have stumbled onto this reality, its horrific, but there is a point when the fear can go too far, I was watching a comedian a few nights ago that was joking about how he used to walk up and ruffle a child's hair just cause, but nowadays knows he would get shot for doing the same thing.

Parents need to be on alert and know where their kids are at all times, but a majority of the world are good people, no child would ever be taken within my view.

I was on the beach one day with my family having a picnic, suddenly I felt my hair stand up something was about to happen, I jumped up and looked around and saw a young toddler walking under the bridge, I bolted across the sand and dove forward squeezing between the sand and the bridge and grabbing the child's foot, pulling him from the water, his arms had sunk in the mud and he couldn't free himself to take a breath.

We are protectors, and can feel when something is not right around us. Use your gifts to protect the children.

The parents came running up the beach almost 10 minutes later...

and just so all of you know, I don't type to fill space, I respond when it is important and if I see someone way off base, will reply to pull them back towards reality.

I am one of the people that stirred the public to create the national database of sexual offenders.

Well, it is under Homeland Security now and our whole country is in teh database.

Thanks to a glitch in the database, I haven't been able to work in 9 months...

pretty nice way of saying thanks don't ya think...

but hey, without the free time I never would have run across Project Camelot.

maybe it was just meant to be.
