apparently, atlantis did not sink under the ocean.
i've read some very convincing material that antarctica IS atlantis. it was buried in ice following the last great pole shift. there are ancient maps, written about by charles hapgood, that show atlantis and other coast lines. a map of the souh polar region bears an incredible similarity to the maps. subtract the ice, and the outline of the actual continent appears to be the atlantis on the map. pretty interesting stuff.
