You're absolutely right in your Grannies case, because you're talking about her now. You couldn't have thought this fifty years ago though.
If you listen again to the Lear interview he stated that at that time he thought of the Six Million Dollar Man craft and even called his friend telling him so, seven years before the series was aired.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not screaming foul here. It could even have been that explained himself badly, but in any case it got me rather 'off guard'.
As I mentioned earlier, everybody should take what they want from the interview.
