The biggest problem with the concept of population reduction is the inherent fear that "someone" will take over what most "men" (i use that word in the generic sense) see as their inalienable right - which is the right to reproduce.

I don't think anyone will be able to discuss it rationally until that 800 lb gorilla is out of the closet.
