Honour and dishonour are the key in any statute-based situation. Legal definitions of words are NOT the same as English. For example, the word "understand" in English means comprehend. In legal language it means something like "stand under" or "submit"- if a judge asks you if you understand, he is asking you if you submit to his authority.
