hmmm, those populations that are suffering the greatest poverty are the ones which are bearing the greatest children, mostly because of the high death rate of infants and the need to have children who will help in the fields, etc.

In the USofA, we're down to nearly zero pop growth. 2.+ kids per family, which is not a lot.

Preaching population growth to the US is like preaching to the choir. Until we get a hand on the poverty of other nations (and I'm not saying we're responsible) they'll do what they perceive as necessary to survive.
