Did any ideas to raise money ever get under way (apart from subscription)?
I know things like T shirts sales were talked about pre-subscription introduction.
One thing it would be interesting to know is how many staff Camelot employ, and do they have big overhead costs?
Are they in financial difficulty?

Hi Piers and everyone,
We have T-shirts available through our ZenCart payment link:
http://www.projectavalon.net/zc
Project Camelot/Avalon receives about $2 for each one.
You can also pay for gift subscriptions for others there.
We do need to start looking at adding other things.
As far as I know, there is no paid staff. The ones who do transcription and who run the forum are volunteers. Any volunteer can have a free membership as can any witness or low income person who cannot afford $1/mo or $12/yr. Just send me your user name and a sentence or two explaining your situation -
karen@projectavalon.net.
Kerry does most of the editing work on the recordings herself and lives in Sedona, Arizona. {update - Kerry has moved back to the Los Angeles, CA area.} Bill lives in Switzerland and helps out on location and with various other things. Right now they are just trying to raise basic month to month living expenses, as you cannot pick up to travel to film interviews if you are forced to go get a typical job.
As first their work was self-funded and absolutely everything was provided free of charge. Various donors have helped out along the way, and lately the credit card. The latest trip to Ecuador was funded by a generous forum member.
If you want to snail mail a payment, even cash if you dare, here is a new form for that:
http://www.projectavalon.net/Avalon_subs_mail_form.pdf. If you snail mail a payment just let me know (karen@projectavalon.net) it's in the mail and we will turn your subscription on. If you are having trouble with a credit card payment let me know.
I don't know if basic living expenses are fully covered as of yet. I doubt it. I'll ask. There was talk that once these basic expenses were covered by subscription fees, they would gladly apply any excess to the payment of those who help. This is not a Kerry and Bill get rich quick scheme as some have imagined.
So far, I have issued about 100 free, barter, or witness passes. I estimated about 80 of those have been paid for at the rate of $12/year. Thank you for those donations to help cover the free passes!
Love is who we are,
Karen
