Yup, i learned how to play the tin whistle when i was 8 .. and i suppose when my grandad died my music died with him. He was my teacher, and i felt a bit empty anytime i played the music after his departure which was a day after my birthday four years ago.
Your more then right, anytime i play an instrument i get such a buzz especially if people around me are enjoying it. I dont really play it for myself and if i dont have a crowd its nothing that appeals to me, i think a guitar is in the works
