I do not think they totally control us yet but they try in many ways. Drugs, alcohol, tobacco, porn, war, racism, murder, rape, media, movies, that is what they are about. They have been in control here for thousands of years with this nastiness. They feed on our low frequency vibes aka they love fear. when ever you hear about or are encountered with a tragedy send them some karma along with some love.
