Listing some communities in action

Can we list a few places globally that are trying to jumpstart or create new communities. Something positive to focus on through these seemingly bumpy times. That we may take a few ideas or inspiration from some who are doing something positive within their community to make a difference.

As you read these, is there something that you may incorporate into your own plan or for a timeout.

I am placing this here for the newbies as well as all to enjoy so they may see some action in progress. It will most likely be moved but for the time being here it is.

Yes I hope people can start to post any thing in progress as much as they can. It is uplifting and encouraging to see. The very best to you on your projects and may they all come together smoothly. Nothing like actually seeing some work in progress to boost moral. :wub2: back at ya

Love & Peace
Trish

Great thread :thumb_yello:

Theres already been a thread done on this Welsh eco village but it is a good example of sustainable living as well as a great example of perseverance in getting their ''rights'' to live sustainably.

Thanks Mikey for adding the link. I have many more but did not want to inundate the peeps with all the news article links. Most are protected work to paste here and it would require unnecessary disk space usage therefore the links. Takes a little longer this way but hey you have to cover your butt sometimes lol. ((((Mikey)))) and hope you let it remain here for awhile to give everyone a heads up on the progress. Nothing like a little bit of reality. :trumpet:

http://www.relocalize.net/ is a good 'directory' of sorts focusing on local production of goods and forming stronger local communities/economies. mostly focused on peak oil/eco-friendly issues

http://www.ecovillage.org/ a global directory of eco 'villages' focus on self sustainability and networking.

Re: Listing some communities in action

I'm new here and have a question. Is anyone really doing something? Has anyone searched out a 'safe place' with people that can create or are busy creating to act as a radiant zone?

We have (my family), and we're busy setting up our life, our new life that is. Hopefully some others will join in time and we have a few here already. :original:

Re: Listing some communities in action

Sorry everybody I did not mean to leave my thread hanging. :sweatdrop: I have been working on my own little project here at home the last couple days, with other like minded people here locally. I will be posting more links as well as my own hopefully soon. Keep them coming brothers & sisters. We have a work in progress that can truly be admired sure it is\will be hard work but I think all agree it will be truly worth it for those who wish to obtain it.

Thanks John and may you have speedy success in all your endeavors. :thumb_yello:

Thank you Peacelovinman for your links, nothing like real work in progress. This excerpt from Rodnoe\spaceoflove is an excellent point "main thing that attracted them was their native land that generously loved them back and gave them warmth and fruits.
And seeds were sprouting, and trees were growing up, following beautiful dream of man they strived to eternity. :thumb_yello:

Rustanddust your contributions to global links of projects underway are very much appreciated. Thanks! The below link I found on the relocalize.net web page it has work in progress as well.
http://relocalize.net/maps/groups for projects underway of local communities & global connections this map was great again thank you. :thumb_yello:

Calico, yes as you can see there are people already living in their communities\villages or working on their projects. I hope to keep this thread going so people can see that it is attainable. Good work in your endeavors and hope you have speedy success. :thumb_yello:

Pithiny great links and thanks for your assistance I could use some help. As we show the current trends and projects it will help people with ideas or possible hardships already overcome by some already accomplishing this. Please do contribute all are welcome to post their projects or projects discovered. I would really be interested to see how the development is going. :thumb_yello:

Love and Peace
Trish
