The real scoop on prophecy.

I reckon many will probably know this
but I will donate my 0.02$ to the cause.

1.You need to preserve jing (semen in males) in order to acquire high levels of spiritual cultivation.
2. The mind must be kept empty, in blank (wuwei) for large periods of time.
3. The moment you use any of the gifts (paranormal abilities) to satisfy ego you will loose them.

With these three premises, the following cannot happen:

-A 9 to 5 seer charging xxx $ per prophecy cannot be possible.
-The paranormal abilities cannot be exploited by anyone for any purpose other than helping others, hence government manipulation of this is impossible.
-A clear distinction must be made between prophecy and wishful thinking.

With this in mind you discern what is out there.

I'd like you to elaborate a little more with this. The preservation of semen in males is a way of storing energy...that's something I found out myself. What are your thoughts on it?

Those are good points. I agree with your conclusions 100%. It is not the semen itself, but profligacy of any kind wastes chi. Sexual profligacy is especially corrosive because it spreads spiritual resources all over and in the wrong places. Refraining from turning sexual energy outward, and transforming it inwardly, is a process that requires a lot of practice and maturity.
