Back online

Thanks alot Modcrew, and Admin, for getting it done and bringing us all back together again.

This initiative, this forum, is too important to let it be spoiled by people who are not getting the shift, who do not understand the times are changing.
Have changed!

Re: Back online

I think people should learn not to make new threads about subjects already been handled in existing thread.
No offence, but
This Back online thread and HELLO NEW AVALON (support is imperative!!) handle the same subject if you ask me.
Please take time, to look it up, if there's already a existing thread or not.

Steffan....
We are PEOPLE!
People like to EXPRESS their feelings, views, thoughts, and ideas.

I see no need to curtail that.

Let it FLOW!

I did not see a thread Hello New Avalon when I posted mine.

opened this thread at 12.05 .........GMT + 1hour.
Hello Avalon opened at 01.34 PM.

Maybe checking that would have prevented a double post on both threads?

Re: Back online

The point is, if we continue to post new thread capriciously, arbitrary, then the moderators can keep trying to get things organised, well structured, as much as they want, it won't change a thing.
Then the trouble of finding the diamants in the sand remains.
If we don't act considerate here, then things won't work.

Just considering where you express something isn't curtailing it.

Ok, then you get more chaos.

I am not going to argue with you....

You believe whatever you want to believe...

But, it seems to me you have made yourself a Self Appointed Moderator here trying to tell the rest of us what to do...

Maybe you're right. In that case I apologize.

Old Dood

Stefaan was correct in what was stated, there are two threads already stating this exact same thing. I understand that sometimes it gets confusing knowing where to post and where not to. We all have things that we feel we must express and that is cool, what we need to do is make sure that there are not threads already in existance that our thoughts/feelings can be inserted into.

Just my thoughts.

Yes, this may be so but simply REPORT them and let the Staff take care of it.

Done...Simple...Gone!

I have been on many different types of forums form Car Forums to Computer Forums, to Spiritual Forums and UFO type forums.

Many questions that have been asked or answered usually get asked again from New Members.
I have seen people jump all over these new members for not using the Search Function or whatever reason.

People are People! People will ask the same stuff over and over.
So what. People will repeat threads. So what.
It is just human nature.
I have seen these new members after that become afraid to post anything after they get 'scolded' for simply asking a question...OR...repeating something.

You have to remember that not EVERYone is Computer Savvy.
Some are down right ignorant of using a computer.
I had one lady use the email function here to ask me how to reply to a post in a thread.
I PM'd her back (to show her that) and explained it is hard to see but it is in the bottom left corner of the thread.
It is the little things that add up...that are important!

I give the benefit of the doubt to ALL.
This is LOVING people. It is ACTION toward other soul in a LOVING way.
Love equals ACTION!
That is all.

Allow people to express themselves and let the Moderators sort it all out.
They are adding more Mods and if it slows down the process a bit...So Be It!

Que Sera, Sera....What Will Be Will Be...

Now you have that song stuck in your head by Doris Day...hehe! :lmfao:
IF NOT then check this YouTube Link out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i7jG91sPvf0
Damn it...it is now stuck in my head...[sigh]

EDIT: By the way, I am not bustin' anyone's chops personally.
I am just trying to explain that we are all people and we all make mistakes and we all want to learn and share.

I Concur

I wasn't busting anyone's chops either. As you so correctly said 'we are all human'.

Peace

Re: Back online

Old dood
I see your point clearly.
For me, it's my second forum ever. The first is also a long time ago.

If you have been on so many forums (? fora?) you must have seen the typical things that happen again and again, just because people are people.
Of course you cannot ask the newbees to have a course first, before they are allowed on the forum. And so you have to accept they do things not favourable to the cause.

I just hope to be able to find the diamonds in the sand as Bill Ryan so well put it.
I am not here for therapy or something like that, nor for the therapy of others.
I want to learn what there is to learn right now...

(if I start 3 sentences with "I" - see above - then my ego must be very large)

But it seems, just because we are dealing with people, we have to set aside our own pettiful desires. It's a good exercise for each soul, mine too.

Ok, Old Dood, I'll try to remember this lesson

Well said Old Dood and thanks for the link you provided elsewhere.

It's not newbees that keep posting pointless threads it seems to me
and as for this pretence that the forum is better off for the recent culling
who are we kidding.

The people that wanted to discuss 'survival' options have the exact same area they had in the first place.

It's everybody else that's in limbo.
