Hatian Children stolen and sold...
Hi Everybody,
I can understand the dire situation in Haiti, in spite of the millions of $$ being pumped into the country for apparent aid (more than $15 million for every man, woman and child of that nation). You remember Quom (Iran), a couple of years ago?
That was headline news here for about 2-3 days. Bottom line: it was a loss for the world's cultural inheratence that such an old & unique city was destroyed. And those 100.000 dead Iranians? Yeah, that too, of course. But that they slaughtered a goat that had miraculously survived & was dug up after 2 weeks, that was absolutely appalling! |

i must say...i find the topic of this thread offensive , though i am all for the subject being discussed. i believe another tittle would have been more constructive.
On that note... Human trafficking is a huge business. Haiti is most definetly a hive of activity from these new age slavers. Women, children, men...the amount of people being bought and sold on a daily basis would astound most people. We have not come far from the perverbial dark ages.. slowly awakening to our new reality, we are compelled to feel disgusted by these facts, though helpless to change it. This could not be farther from the truth.. You have the power to change anything. Be the change you wish to see in the world.. |

Exactly Celine, trafficking is a huge industry, feeding into and from the pornography, prostitution, escort and entertainment industries and to 'facilitate' soldiers and workers in plantations, factories etc, it's beyond huge and absolutely enraging. There are many, may rape camps all over with tons of women and children being used constantly and legalising prostitution doesn't make it any better - where there is demand there are plenty of pimps/'business' who will force, manipulate and trick to get what they want. There are plenty of men, women and children used for sweat shop/slave labour as well. As long as people can get away with something and as long as it isn't them going through it, many will do it and many will buy into it providing a customer base and heaven help the victims who try and ask a customer for help - they'll most likely be grassed on and then beaten to a pulp and kept in 'service' with an extra on them as a flight risk.
