Island of Ruegen - Nazis, JPL, Hollow Earth, von Braun...
 

This is an interesting place. It's an island near Peenemünde, where German secret know-how about jets, engines, propulsion, rocketry, subs was developed and manufactured, close by in east Baltic Sea. Wernher von Braun was in charge of Peenemünde. It's what the Russians wanted and the USA got. Later, with the partition of Germany, the USSR got the place.
