I don't like not being able to send a private message to new members!

All because someone sent pornography.

The inconvenience of not being able to communicate with new people by private message - in my opinion - outweighs any advantage of preventing someone from sending pornography when they first join.

I was told that new people could receive private messages; they just can't send.

Well, I just tried to send and the option was not available. And even if it were, what good does it do if the person cannot respond?
