The statements he makes in this interview can only make the most ignorant housewives in the world feel safe. As if we weren't already the #1 target. Our liberty has slipped from our hands, the road we head down now is very dark

How interesting, sjkted, that you should mention this:
It reminded me that here in Italy, about a month ago, in a sequence of news reports, reporters on the Italian news kept refering to O as "l'ultimo" ( translated "last" ) president of the USA.... it struck me as important then because I'm sure not many other people were catching the phrase much less considering the meaning of the word used. (I know, I have a fervent imagination, but hey, gotta keep the antenas up!)

I know Burgundia. At times the utter stupidity of the American people amazes me. More so, had I been in Oprah's shoes, I would have gawked at those statements and put him in his place. Especially when he claimed that others in the world want us to police them. Unbelievable.

I watched that clip with Obama & Oprah....& it seemed to me that Ophrah was a little stunned at some things he said. It showed in her face, she seemed to gulp at some statements. But he is the President so she probably has to follow a certain line of questions.

But yes there was arrogance displayed for sure.

One of the things I keep thinking of when I see Obama these days is the words of Dmitry Orlov. If you're not familiar with his work, do a Google Video search or an Amazon search to find his book Reinventing Collapse. He grew up in the USSR and moved to the US as a teenager and talks about the amazing similarities between the US currently and the USSR then.

One of the signs of collapse he mentioned is how towards the end, the politicians loose their support base and start making lies and fabricating information that are just beyond imagination. Despite how articulate Obama may sound, his latest speeches ought to be in the same box as Bush's Axis of Evil.

However, we are in a different time now.....all the old structures are falling away, this includes governments too. It is necessary to make way for the new paradigm. But who knows really who is who anymore in the White House, or even in any government house. They are houses of tricksters.:naughty:

We are in a different time now, but I think the comparison is that the Federal Government is losing their power along with the monetary system. After some time, their only real authority will be that they occupy some official position and have the power to write laws. They will act like big men, but despite what they say nobody will listen or care.

Good grief. He is president BECAUSE Oprah endorsed him. If she behaved in any way other than adoring him as usual I wouldn't believe it.
