Are the PTB trying to level the playing field?

They can 'unplug' you from your ability to earn a living already. Corrupt businesses are protected by a corrupted law enforcement in sort of you watch my back and I'll watch yours arrangement. (And The People are suppose to give up their rights to protect themselves, from... umm... criminals; sometimes the lines between criminals and criminals get a little blurry.)
