NASA - laws to combat acid rain are driving Artic melting!

Climate scientist Drew Shindell of the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies in New York found that declines in solid 'aerosol' particles brought in under laws to improve air quality likely triggered 45 per cent of temperature rises.

Aerosols - including the man-made particles sulfates and soot - have a direct impact on climate change by reflecting and absorbing the sun's radiation, Nasa explains.

But laws brought in by the U.S. and European countries over the past three decades have slashed emissions of sulfates, and with them atmospheric cooling.

Hahahaha, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH, AAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA:lmao:

You just could not make it up. You really just could not make any of this up. Now, with all the new laws just think how quick 'climate change' is going to accelerate.

The revelation shakes the theory that greenhouse gases, in particular carbon dioxide, are the main problem in the fight to steady the planet's climate.

Shindell said: 'There's a tendency to think of aerosols as small players, but they're not. Right now, in the mid-latitudes of the Northern Hemisphere and in the Arctic, the impact of aerosols is just as strong as that of greenhouse gases.
'We will have very little leverage over climate in the next couple of decades if we're just looking at carbon dioxide.

'If we want to stop the Arctic summer sea ice from melting completely over the next few decades, we're much better off looking at aerosols and ozone.
I swear Piers, what ever it is, it is damn fine highest grade there could ever be.

No, I would say the finest Northern Kazakhstan crop - Afghani is way, way too weak for what these boys must be inhailing.

Just one more man, and then I'll write my paper, man.

OI! :mad3:

Who moved this to off topic? Yes, the replies were off topic, but the subject is not off topic at all. Its a serious piece of news concerning the muddle all these 'eco warrior' scientists are in.

:mad3: Who ever moved this gets a

Yeah they moved a whole bunch of threads, which I agree with, some needed to be moved just because they were in the wrong section.
But if you want to do some real detective work Egg, start looking inside the forum!
I think the forum is about to change!!!!

hahahahah:thumb_yello:

Yeah, and they might get another article which points out that this is manipulative madness.

Remember the younger kids in the eraly 1990s? it was all 'acid rain - acid rain, cut the sulphite emmissions'. Now, now they think its making the poles melt.

Look, they have to get their house in order I think before they start telling me how to furnish mine - this article just shows what a mess these people are - they don't know their butts from their nuts as far as I can work out.

Well... we know that Obama isn't going to be of much help... if he's shooting aerosols and sulfur in the stratosphere...

That insanity could trigger another ice age. Insanity, and yet they think they can try it?

Unfreakingbeliveable

Its bloody insane. First they stop me burning a wood stove because its 'acid rain', and now, now they tell me I was helping out as it was particulate!

I just cannot believe how deep this stupidity and deception runs to.

Trouble is piers, 99% of the globe appear to be too dumbed down to even register a flicker of interest in this totally shocking lack of time line following shown here.

Acid rain? remember the scare stories and pictures? LOL

Dantheman62 04-13-2009 12:31 AM

Yes I do remember the scare stories and pictures! And yes the stupidity and deception runs oh so deep!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thats just my beef with all of this - the sheer naked avarice and stupidity. On a funny note, if Al Gore needs alot of electric to power his house, he should now build a coal powered electric plant and SAVE THE WORLD! (again). Twice. Like he did last week.
