Strongest quake ever in Norway.

NORWAY - A major earthquake which measured 6.5 on the Richter scale hit off the coast of the Arctic archipelago of Svalbard on Friday. This is THE STRONGEST QUAKE EVER REGISTERED IN THIS PART OF THE WORLD. There are no reports of any damage. If a quake of this strength had hit the mainland, the damage would have been considerable, experts say. Friday's quake comes just one year after the last record tremor in the region. On February 21st last year a quake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale was registered, also off the coast of Svalbard.

Hmmm, isn't that in the vicinity of the doomsday seed vault, or do I have my geography mixed up? Wouldn't it be ironic if that seed vault goes, only to have people like you and me, seriously guarding our years worth of heritage seeds, who "save the world." :wink2:

Yeah it is where the seed vault is and it's strange to get very strong quakes in this region-are the norwegian politician's statements getting closer?

Interesting that a year ago in February they had a 6.0 in the area. Weird, but I'm not sure what it really says. If it's HAARP, then the guys that pressure our military to keep up with this are potentially the same guys to lose big time if the seed vault goes.
