i'm dying
 

i have a rare condition called Bullous Pemphigoid. try doing a google image search to see what it looks like.

basically my immune system is attacking my skin. there's no known cause or cure.

standard treatment is to take large doses of prednisone, antibiotics, and niacinamide until the symptoms subside. this worked ok about 7 years ago, but the symptoms are back. my hand is blistering up and i'm back on the prednisone. this works to temporarily alleviate the symptoms, but when i try to ween off, the blistering comes right back. if it goes untreated, my whole body will continue blistering until i just decompose completely and die. it has gotten really advanced before and it is very painful.

if i keep taking these drugs, i'm going to die too.

i'm presently trying this alternative treatment that involves taking massive doses of seasalt and vitamin C. the theory is that autoimmune disorders are caused by some kind of hidden bacteria and that the salt/c combo will make my body a toxic environment for this bacteria and i'll get better.

i've been doing this for a week or so and have not seen any improvement. today my fingers started blistering up again, and my spirits are really low.

if any of you have any ideas of how to help, i'd really appreciate it. i've been seeking out some kind of shaman who can help me find some answers but have not yet found one.

good vibes/prayers would also be appreciated.

i'm not ready to die.

Maybe we can get the Mass Consciousness Coalition to organize a day with a few times throughout the day to send healing energies to you. The more people we get then the success will be made. Might need a picture of you to use in the meditation.

Hey man, there's something called Intravenous Immunoglobulin Infusions usually given monthly, or how about a topical high-potency corticosteroid cream applied to the entire body surface. The Mayo-Clinic says with therapy it usually disappears within 11/2 to 5 years. I don't know if any of this helps but check out the Mayo-Clinic, they know their stuff! They said it's rare for people under 50 and you don't look near that.Also they said they use another drug to ween you off of prednisone. Google Mayo-Clinic and your condition if you haven't already.

yeah i have topical steroid cream too. it hasn't been helping much. it only treats the symptoms anyway. i'm excited about this pemphitab though. the website says it was developed within the past few years and admittedly i have been working under the assumption that there was still no real cure.

and yeah i know it is really rare for somebody as young as me to be diagnosed with this disorder. it first cropped up about 8 years ago when i was like 24

A friend of mine has to take prednisone, along with a bunch of other drugs to knock his immune system down, for the rest of his life because he's had a kidney transplant, basically anti-rejection drugs so his body won't reject the kidney, and he's been on them now 9 years, he's 29, I'm sure his prednisone dosage is different than yours but so far 9 years and he's still o.k. I don't know what kind of lifestyle you lead, but a healthy one is going to help you.
On a separate thread i talk about a book titled "The ANCIENT SECRET OF THE FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH" BY PETER KELDER.
It costs around 10 $ and works wonders.You can see people doing the exercises on youtube by searching "tibetan rites".Doing them consistently for a long time can regenerate dying cells.After a very long time you even start replacing live cells.
Learn meditation.

Take Coral Calcium, it cured me of skin cancer.
Become your own doctor.Rely on yourself, because ultimately your going to have to save your own skin(literaly).
Use a cleansing product that detoxifies your body.
Try to have a more positive outlook because being bummed about it will only make it worse.
Drink a ton of water.
Don't put too much faith in what doctors tell you.You are a payday for them and usually nothing more.They have no incentive to cure you because when they do they lose a client.

hi,
i can see you've despaired of the standard medical treatment so i'm going to offer you some nonstandard stuff.

i've been hearing a lot, and learning of, quite a few opinions saying maybe mainstream science doesn't know all too much about the human body.

raw foodists and others claim that most (or every) disease is caused by the body being filled up with "mucus" that blocks the passageways in our body (digestion tract, blood vessels etc.) which forms a breeding ground for bacteria and such, and blocks the regular functioning of the body besides.

they impliment methods such as fasting, laxatives and enemas to clear the body of this disruption, and claim to be able to cure "uncurable" diseases such as cancer and aids.

I for one, find their arguments very convincing, and have a good intuitive feeling about this.

i can't confirm anything. i'm not usually sick, so you're kinda going blindly with this if you try. but if it works i'd very much like to hear so i can recommend it to others if the situation arises.

Hi Chris,

I can't recommend Chinese medicine enough. The students at the AOMA north clinic here in Austin completely cured my:

fybromyalgia
achy foot from a previous injury
depression
allergies
menstrual problems
memory problems (from a stroke)

... all in about 7 weeks. They are about $25 per visit if your insurance won't pay. They would be a good place to start as far as coping with the pain and progressing through the healing. Maybe they can help get your body and spirits back in balance again. :)
